    Hybrids are in demand now. Hybrid car uses two engines; one uses the traditional fuel, while the other uses the energy from a rechargeable battery. There are also allot of hybrid cars, to choose from. What then is or guarantee that we are protected from too much hype, instead of an honest advertising?

    One simplest way is through consumer reports on hybrid cars.

    There are many hybrid cars information available, especially on their features, engine specifications, designs, colors and much other dizzying information. Information from the manufacturer’s website are also good source of needed preliminary knowledge n hybrid cars. But one of the most interesting array of information, and one that honest opinion or feelings about hybrid vehicles may be glimpsed is a consumer reports on hybrid cars.

    “These hybrid systems have been very reliable,” declares David Champion, senior director of Consumer Reports’ auto test center. Mr. Champion noted that about 94 percent of Toyota Prius owners, who would buy another Prius, are very happy and satisfied, asserted by the influential consumer survey. Consumer Reports on the other hand, disagreed. Champion explained that the electric motor adds the power, to the engine, says Champion.

    Prior to the award proper, Consumer Report conducts a testing, by applying some actual expectations of consumers to hybrid cars. The Accord hybrid for instance, achieved superior fuel efficiency unsurpassed by its conventional counterparts.

    But as in other endeavor, consumer reports on hybrid cars have its other side. An alternative consumer view from the same center posited the question: “Considering a hybrid car? Don’t rush out to the dealership just yet.”

    The individuals went on to explain that they are not against the protection of environment. The center also asserts that they are supportive for burning less fossil fuel. Their concerns, accordingly, emanates from Financial experts arguments that hybrid drivers are paying too high for an automobile that offers only marginally better fuel efficiency than the other economy cars already on the road.

    The same Consumer Reports compared the 2003 Honda Civic Hybrid car, which consumes 36 miles per gallon and worth $21,000, with the 2003 Honda Civic EX, which consumes 29 miles per gallon and worth $18,500 a unit on the average. Interested to know the results? The tax break excluded, it would take a consumer 21 years in fuel savings to cover the earlier expense for buying hybrid.

    And consumer reports o hybrid cars has another bad news. The people behind Edmunds.com expect that hybrids will depreciate faster than other counterpart traditional vehicles. They are also noting that the attempts of the carmakers on improving the hybrid powertrain so fast will fail to convince consumer in buying relatively new technology.

    The consumer reports on hybrid cars, however, particularly that of Edmunds.com, are waiting for the for the new hybrid SUVs, the Ford Escape and the Lexus RX Hybrid, will after entering the market for a particular period of time. If these new hybrids will eventually reach the price level, of other lightweight trucks, and will offer far better fuel savings, the better. If both are achieved, says Edmunds.com’s automotive expert Ed Hellwig, there’s no reason why people will not rush to their dealer and buy one.

    Since the very conception of the automobile, engineers and designers have been searching for was to make them more efficient and save on fuel consumption.     Performance Hybrid: Electric motors can offer instant torque unlike a conventional combustion engine. Some companies realized that you can take a smaller gasoline motor and pair it with an electric motor to get the performance of a much larger engine, and also get good fuel efficiency. A good example of this would be the Lexus GS450h which is capable of going 0-60 in 5.2 seconds, but gets a respectable 25mpg city / 28mpg freeway. The great thing about performance hybrids are the cars can get the performance of a V8 engine, but get the fuel efficiency of a smaller motor.

    In conclusion, the future of automobiles is currently the hybrid car and purchasing a hybrid vehicle will not only save you money but will also allow you to take responsibility and do you part in creating a safer, cleaner and greener environment.

There are numerous hybrid cars currently available in the North America. They include Honda Insight, Honda Accord, Honda Civic, Toyota Prius, and Mercury Mariner. There are also Hybrid SUVs that include Lexus 400H, Ford Escape, and Toyota Highlander.

    As the prices of gasoline and fuel are on full-swing, car manufacturers have found a new form of car technology that consumes less fuel and does not pollute the environment. This car technology is called the hybrid car technology. Hybrid cars have a rechargeable energy storage system (RESS), along with some fuel propulsion source.

    We have observed continuous hike in fuel prices in past years, which compelled carmakers to come up with a car that consumes less fuel and is eco-friendly too. We call this technological car Hybrid car. Hybrid cars hold rechargeable energy storage system along with the fuel propulsion source. Hybrid cars are generally selected as vehicles, as they offer combination of petroleum, and electricity. These cars are called hybrid-electric cars, where electric cells use to control electric engines beside with an internal combustion engine.

    The advantages of these cars are many, as they extend their battery charge through the kinetic energy they catch in regenerative braking. Moreover, when such cars cruise, the combustion engine generates energy with the running of a second electric motor. This is done to recharge the battery or to refresh the motor for driving the car. Battery charge through external sources like the grid was required for conventional electric cars. This technology is dissimilar to the conventional electrical cars.

    In present times, many hybrid cars run on diesel, gasoline, or at times other fuels like ethanol, plant based oils, and some of the cars travel by hydrogen fuel. Hybrid cars are also knows as the cars that are flexible-fuel vehicles. They have ability to run on a combination of diverse fuels.

    The reason why people prefer to use hybrid cars is because of its hybrid technology, which is an amalgamation of dissimilar technologies. The Hybrid cars technologies allow people to save money on gas fuel, which is of course advantageous to the car purchaser. Along with the passage of time, hybrid car technology has enhanced the presentation of altered hybrid cars. The Hybrid cars have also turn out to be very well-liked.
